R-APDRP Services

The RAPDRP or Restructured-Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme was launched in 2008 by the Government of India in the XI Five year plan, as a central sector scheme for improving the urban power distribution sector in the country. The programme focuses on the actual demonstrable performance by the utilities and to reduce the Transmission & Distribution Losses by 15%.

Establishment of reliable and automated systems for sustained collection of accurate base line data, and the adoption of Information Technology in the areas of energy accounting will be essential before taking up the regular distribution strengthening projects.

It is proposed to cover urban areas - towns and cities with population of more than 30,000. There are two parts, Part-A and Part-B

Part-A to cover IT applications in distribution sector

Part-B to cover System improvement, strengthening and augmentation etc.
